Le développement du numérique dans
certains secteurs d’activités
Dans le secteur de la santé, l’intégration des
TIC était encore embryonnaire. En ce qui
concerne le secteur de l’éducation et de la
formation, il faisait preuve d’une grande vitalité
et d’une volonté permanente de s’arrimer à
l’environnement numérique ambiant. S’agissant
du secteur commercial, l’activité e-commerce y
avait fortement progressé depuis 2010, portée

En 2019, il représentait environ 15% du PIB
mondial et aurait employé plus de 39 millions
de personnes dans le monde. Aux États-Unis
par exemple, où se trouvent huit (8) des 14 plus
grandes entreprises de technologie en termes
communications infrastructure, particularly
broadband infrastructure, necessary for the

The integration of ICT in the health sector was still
embryonic. The education and training sector
showed great vitality and a permanent readiness
to adapt to the prevailing digital environment.
Regarding the trade sector, e-commerce has
recorded strong growth since 2010, driven by
the increasing appeal of Internet services to the
population, which is reflected in the launching
of many online sales websites. The tourism
sector was characterized by the low ownership
and inadequate harnessing of the digital

Development Strategy
Digital technologies are expanding rapidly
and have become a strategic issue, a factor of

about 15% of global GDP and employed more
than 39 million people worldwide. For example,
in the United States, where 8 of the 14 largest
technology companies in terms of turnover are
located, the share of the ICT sector in GDP was
about 7% in 2016, compared with only 3.8% of
the country’s GDP in 2012.
Against this backdrop, the President of the
Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, in his message
to the Nation on 31 December 2015, made the
